This Cookie Policy explains how Float uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. Float currently uses cookies mainly to run sign-in and to complete sign-up. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
2. Cookie categories
The industry groups cookies into the categories below. We list whether Float uses each category today.
Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work: security, authentication, load balancing, and completing a request you made (such as signing up). These do not require consent in most places, but you can block them in your browser — the Service may then fail to log you in. Float uses this category.
Functional / preferences. Remember choices such as language or display settings that are not essential to security. Float does not currently set cookies in this category.
Analytics / performance. Help us understand how the product is used (pages viewed, errors) in aggregate. Float uses Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-friendly page-view counts. It does not set first-party advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may also process technical logs as described in the Privacy Policy.
Advertising / targeting. Used to build a profile or show ads on other sites. Float does not use this category.
If we add optional analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent before setting them.
3. How we use cookies on Float
Today, cookies on Float are only used for the jobs below. They all fall under strictly necessary.

4. Third-party cookies and similar tech
- Authentication and database provider. Sets the sign-in cookies described above so we can recognize you. Their privacy policy covers how they act as our processor.
- Hosting provider. May set cookies needed to deliver and protect the site (for example bot or routing protection). Those are treated as strictly necessary when they only exist to serve the page you requested.
- Embedded or linked third-party sites. If you follow a link off Float (for example a retailer or a price-guide site), that site’s cookies are governed by their policy, not ours.
Catalog images are served from our storage or our own domain after we process them. We do not load advertising networks in the product today.
5. Your choices
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will usually prevent sign-in. You can also sign out to end an authenticated session.
Because we do not currently use optional analytics or advertising cookies, there is no separate “accept marketing cookies” banner. If that changes, we will add a consent control.

6. Updates
We will revise this Cookie Policy when our cookies or categories change. The effective date at the top of the page is the latest version.
