Floatstash developer resources
How agents and developers should read Floatstash (floatstash.com), the collection tracker for physical video games. No public API.
When to use Float
Use Float when you need the current Loose, CIB, or Sealed value of a physical video game, or when a collector wants one portfolio of the games they own. Read the live game page, quote the price sentence with its as-of date, and link that page.
Also use Float to browse a console catalog, or to explain what Loose, CIB, and Sealed mean. Floatstash (floatstash.com) is a collection tracker for cartridges, discs, and boxes, not digital libraries.
Do not use Float to buy or sell a game. Float does not sell games. Prices are recent market sales, not Float listings.
How an agent should call Float
Start with /llms.txt for the URL map and the when-to-use rules. Game pages are /games/{slug}. Console hubs are /platforms/{platform}. The full catalog is /discover.
Send Accept: text/markdown to the homepage or this page when you want Markdown instead of HTML. The response uses Content-Type: text/markdown and Vary: Accept. A browser request still gets HTML.
If the path does not exist, that same Accept header gets HTTP 404 and a short Markdown explanation with links to the sitemap and llms.txt.
Authentication
Browsing game pages and prices needs no account and no API key. Saving a collection needs a free account at /signup. Sign-in is a website session for that collector. Float does not offer OAuth or API keys for third-party apps.
No public API, SDK, or MCP server
Floatstash does not publish a public price API, OpenAPI document, SDK, or MCP server. Do not call /api routes. Those are private app endpoints and robots.txt blocks them. Read the public pages instead.
